A Glimpse into the City is a personal photographic journey taken across Jordan, born from a deeply personal request by my mother to get to know the Jordanian people, as she was deeply interested in understanding them more closely. The trip was planned as an opportunity to visit and meet handicraft makers and artisans with the goal of creating traditional Jordanian dresses. The photographs document encounters with Jordanian locals in their own time, offering a sense of closeness and authenticity in their daily life as part of this broader journey. Through these images, the project honours human relationships, everyday experiences, and cultural heritage, reminding us how shared moments and lived encounters shape our understanding of others. It invites viewers to see beyond objects and to recognise the lives, stories, and histories woven into the fabric of a place and its people.
